A Real Story of Healing and the Power of Daily Lifestyle Choices I want to share a recent client story that illustrates what real evidence-based lifestyle change can look like and what becomes possible when excellent medical care, daily habits and purpose align.
A Health Crisis No One Could Explain
When my client first reached out, she had already lived through years of medical uncertainty.
As she described it, she was “losing weight rapidly, battling constant high fevers, unable to sleep, and feeling completely unwell.”
She saw multiple specialists, went through endless testing, and continued to hear that everything was “normal,” even as she fell to 98 pounds, a 65-pound loss, while also being told she had hypothyroidism. Nothing added up.
Eventually, an infectious disease specialist diagnosed her with Familial Mediterranean Fever (FMF), a rare condition that finally linked her symptoms. Once treatment began, her fevers settled and she entered a phase of true physical recovery. At that time, the medical priority was to help her heal and restore the weight she had lost so dangerously.
Over time, she regained weight, rebuilt stability, and reached a point where she was no longer living in crisis.
When She Came to Me
By the time she began working with me, she was medically stable but still far from where she wanted to be. Her FMF was under control, but she lacked energy, was dealing with chronic inflammation, was relying on medications for sleep and stress and was now carrying excess weight she wanted to lose in a sustainable way. She wanted to feel happier, stronger, and healthier overall.
What We Focused On
We prioritized stabilizing blood sugar, lowering inflammation, and rebuilding metabolic strength. Movement shifted from intensity to consistency. We reinforced sleep hygiene and nervous system regulation.
Her daily habits changed in small but intentional ways.
She significantly reduced medications, no longer needing sleeping meds and rarely using anxiety medications.

I have also lost 13 lbs just by adding more fruits, veggies, healthy fiber, & cutting out empty carbs & most sugars!
